Happy hump day everyone!
Today the weather is a bit grim and I guess it ties in perfectly with today’s post (because of needing home comforts, not because my post is grim). I’m bringing you a few adorable bits and pieces which will be perfect for your home in the next few months – some of which could also make really nice gifts for Christmas (oooooh I said the ‘C’ word…).
Even though some of these things are a little predictable – *cough* candles – I think some would make really quirky presents and with the occasional discount code thrown in there too you can’t go wrong.
First, I will start with candles. I have to admit to the world that I’m not a huge Yankee Candle fan, not because they don’t smell amazing (cause ugh they do) but because I don’t find the container particularly pretty… as well as the fact they’re so expensive. I like buying cheap and cheerful candles from places like Primark/Home Sense/Wilkinsons because they still smell amazing and do the job at a fraction of the price.
This one is from Primark (yes, I’ve had it for years).
Next up is a mini collaboration with the Old English Company – you may have seen on instagram a little sneak peak of a ‘life begins after coffee’ print, which is from this fab typography/homeware brand. I have another larger print below which says ‘there’s is no place like home’ which is so perfect for my family cause we’re quite an adorable & close bunch.
I think these prints make such great presents for families/mums/grandparents, so if you’re stuck for ideas this one is a winner – you can buy cheap frames on ebay if you want to keep them somewhere safe but I’m going to stick mine up on the wall! They’re available in loads of colours too and are also stocked in Urban Outfitters.
Sure the prints are AMAZING, but they do loads of other things with quotes on them such as mugs, stationary, cushions, tea towels and loads more. I know I’ll be snapping up a few bits for my family from here (this is a test to see if they actually read my blog) – I’m particularly desperate for a mug saying ‘some like it hot’ on it!
Head to www.oldenglishprints.com for all the bits!

Now onto artwork… I love having canvas pictures around the house to fill up empty walls/spaces. Primark and IKEA are my favourite places for them, especially IKEA because there is SO much choice! I think small canvas pictures make fab presents (a good one for mum) but make sure they would go with the decor *cheeky face*.
The 3-piece set is from IKEA, and the ‘keep calm and drink tea’ canvas is from Primark.
(even though I don’t drink tea, ew, but my family all do).
Up next is a beautiful patterned cushion by Elizabeth Scarlett. I love everything warm and cosy when it’s Autumn and this cushion is now a favourite of mine (and my cats). This adorable brand that I found a month or two ago is run by Lizzie herself and she designs the most gorgeous cushions & bed linen. The cushions especially would make a lovely Christmas present! (I know it’s only October but it’s good to be prepared right?)
I have a little voucher code for her website too – get 10% off with my code Robyn10.
Shop the whole range at www.elizabethscarlett.com.
Find this tilework cushion here.
Lastly, keeping on the ‘cosy’ theme I LOVE blankets for A/W. I always buy them from Primark because considering the price, they are so soft and such good quality! Especially around Christmas time they always have loads of designs. If you’re not a fan of Primark then IKEA is also a great place to go!
What do we make of all these products?! Let me know in the comments which are your favourites!
Whether you’re looking to treat yourself or treat someone else then these sorts of things will be perfect if you’re stuck for ideas.
HAPPY 2 MONTHS (ish) TILL CHRISTMAS!
