Looking Back At 2015

If I had to describe 2015 in one word it would be weird. It’s been the toughest year of my life but in a lot of ways it’s also been one of the best. *prepare for mushy cringey post*

In January I was still a University student in my second year but as you’ll all probably know I dropped out because well… I couldn’t really handle it. I’ve mentioned on here before about my anxiety and panic disorder and how it’s affected my life, and I spent a good 3 months not even leaving my bedroom. I really needed something to focus on while I was recovering and so in April, I made POR!

Ever since I made this blog it’s given me so much to think about and has distracted me from anything I was anxious about, and even though I still suffer really badly with panics I’m still nowhere near as bad as I was at the beginning of the year.

Within all of the illness there’s always something that I’ve managed to achieve to really boost my confidence. My highest point was probably being short-listed for a Bloggers Blog Awards for the Best Up & Coming Fashion Blog way back in September – although I didn’t win the award, I was absolutely blown away that I made it into the top 5 and it was at that point that I realised all of my hard work was paying off. Since then I’ve worked with some really fab brands such as Ark, New Look, Rad, Clarks, Lily Lulu, Lee Stafford and the new brand I’m loving Nobody’s Child. It’s made me realise how much I love what I’m doing – I happily sit up until midnight writing posts and editing photos because I enjoy it so much!

I love your blog & your insta so congrats on doing so well! I feel you with the anxiety thing about University, I’ve almost finished my final year but it feels like it’s taking forever to get to the end and it’s so hard. I think blogging is such a good way to escape and focus on something else 🙂
