The double denim trend has been creeping back in over the last year or so and I have to say I’m a little bit scared of it. I occasionally love clashing colours and prints but when people wear the same shade denim from head-to-toe it makes me want to cower in horror. In my opinion, if you’re gonna nail the double denim trend you have to pick two shades which compliment each other, and I always go for a light denim jacket and dark blue jeans (or, of course, the opposite way around).
I searched around last week for a new slightly oversized denim jacket because having one that’s a bit bigger makes it A) good for winter because you can wear jumpers underneath, and B) they’re less tight and uncomfortable to wear. I found the perfect jacket from ASOS for only £40 which I thought was an absolute bargain.
To create my double denim look I wore my new jacket with dark blue jeans, a cheeky tee which I bought in the Topshop sale and my sassy new black ankle boots from Daisy Street. Forgive me for trying to look ‘cool’ when I’m really actually very uncool.

This was one of those outfits where my mum said to me ‘ooohhhhh don’t you look like a rock chick’ and I immediately wanted to change my outfit, but I hope you think I look as ‘rad’ as she does. The jeans, t-shirt and jacket look is always one to go for if you’ve no idea what to wear, so stock up on that denim!
