Ways To Wear A Bodysuit

Bodysuits are super popular this season and they’re everywhere on social media pages and high street websites. I wasn’t a huge fan at first but I actually think they’re a really versatile and basic item for your wardrobe which can be styled in so many different ways.

Now, I don’t know about you but isn’t everything cropped these days? Like, literally everything, and it’s not really my cup of tea. I love bodysuits because they cover up my stomach with no risk of accidental tummy-show (you know when you go out partying and you put your hands in the air (like u just don’t care) and your tummy is out on show, the worst).

I’ve got a new bodysuit from New Look and I’m going to show you how to style it in two ways – the first is a casual everyday look (classic ol’ me) and the other is a smart Spring workwear look.

As for the bodysuit itself, it’s a sassy navy blue wrap beauty. I love tops with the wrap around details because they work whether you’re big-busted or Robyn-busted. I’m currently lusting over everything navy at the moment too as a nice, but not daring alternative to black.

LOOK 1 – CASUAL

As always with my outfits, casual says ‘jeans and jacket’. I’ve got simple black skinny jeans to go with my bodysuit and a new suedette jacket in a really gorgeous stone colour. You can debate amongst yourselves as to whether you think navy and black works, but I think it does! This outfit is just right for Spring because it’s a little too cold for bare legs and arms but it’s totally not coat weather anymore.

LOOK 2 – WORK (work work work work)

I love a smart look and so many people struggle to find flattering but stylish outfits to wear to the office. I’ve teamed by navy bodysuit up with some black culottes and a floral scarf to make a sassy, rather 60’s looking Spring outfit. I felt so feminine wearing this and although culottes are a little bit ‘you either love them or hate them’, if you style them right I think anyone can pull them off.

Get shopping the bodysuits at New Look and this wrap one comes in like a billion colours – I nearly went for the khaki one, it would go so well with the black culottes!

I love how you’ve chosen to style the bodysuit! I’m still not too sure on them, I mean they’re great for tucking into skirts and jeans with real ease. But I find them slightly uncomfortable. Maybe I’m just being weird haha. I saw that suede jacket on your Instagram and fell in love with it, I seriously need to get my hand’s on it. It’s gorgeous!!xx

I think they look more uncomfortable than they actually are, always get one that isn’t too tight! And isn’t the jacket insane?! I love it so much!

Haha I’m so not a fan, it seems like the unpopular opinion though! I just like to be covered in that area haha!

I totally agree with you on the crop top front! It annoys me so much, it’s like ooh that’s a nice top, oh wait it is cropped -sigh-
I love the casual look using this bodysuit and think the navy and black works fabulously together.
    You look gorgeous 🙂 xo

These outfits are gorgeous! I think I’ve tried wearing a bodysuit once and it wasn’t so flattering on me, but I might give them another go. On another note, that New Look jacket is DREAMY.

Thanks Katy! They aren’t necessarily the most flattering items (I find they arent great for my tummy area) so I just make sure I wear them in the right way because I love the necklines they give!

I love how you’ve styled the body suit, Robyn! I especially like the workwear outfit, everything works so well and it’s super chic.

I definitely think I need to jump back on the body suit band wagon!
