Bloggers Hangout Must Haves

Last month the lovely babes at the Bloggers Hangout gave me the opportunity to try out a load of new products and review them on here. As soon as I saw the email I was like YES PLS because some of the brands on the list were insane! There’s basically a bunch of beauty, fashion, lifestyle and food products that were sent out to me and I’ve spent a few weeks trying them all out so I can let you all know my true opinions of them.

They’re a total mix of items – so if you fancy finding out about some new brands then have a little read through! I know you’ll love them!

I’d never heard of Neek before but their products were a dream. I’ve got an active face cleanser and a gorgeous lipstick. The brand itself is completely organic and vegan (which gets extra plus points from me) and my favourite item has to be the lipstick – the shade is AMAZING and really suits my pale skin tone! I also love the packaging, it’s nice to have a change from black plastic like 99% of my lippy collection.

These nail wraps from Dinki Belle are so adorable and probably one of my favourite things I received! They’re basically little wrap stickers that you cover over your nails and then you file/cut the top off to fit your nail shape. I absolutely LOVE them – I tried these as soon as they arrived and they were so easy to use, and look how gorge they are! They claim to last up to 14 days which I think is a bit much, but mine stayed on for about 8-9 days which isn’t bad!

As much as I love lipstick, 75% of the time I’m not wearing any (who can be bothered REALLY) so when I’m at home I always keep my lips hydrated. Usually I use one of those NIVEA lip balms but to be honest I don’t really find them to work that well, and this Paw Paw moisturising balm works SO much better! It works for chapped skin and things like that too.

All girls love a good pamper and my favourite thing to do is use a face mask. I was sent over this one from Inlight and it’s an organic superfood face mask. It’s really good for sensitive skin and the smell is DIVINE – I can only describe it as like a leafy, floral smell but it’s so natural and calming when it’s on! My skin felt so soft after using it so I definitely recommend this.

A lot of people seem to forget about body/hand washes and things like that when talking about beauty products, but let’s be honest… we use them every day so why not have some super nice ones?! This GreenFrog botanical body wash and hand washes smell INCREDible and my favourite scent is definitely the Geranium and Peppermint one (also we have a million geraniums in our garden so why not match our hand wash to our garden, haha!). They’re super rich, creamy and moisturising and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Can’t go wrong with some luxury hair products, right? I’ve got two things from Tints Of Nature and I’m in love with them both! Firstly I tried the leave-in conditioner and my favourite thing about it is definitely the smell – honestly it’s AMAZING, kinda floral and professional smelling! I always try and use leave-in conditioners once a week to give my hair a boost and this one did a pretty good job.

The other product I tried is a dry shampoo. Now, I really struggle with dry shampoo, those Batisste ones that everyone uses just don’t seem to work for me, there’s always too much dry shampoo or not enough and I just don’t get on with it. I do prefer this dry shampoo but I see it as more of a little touch up throughout the day, which is fine because it’s such a cute travel size! The nozzle is way easier to use than those giant cans though and it smells deLISH.

I’ve actually heard of Su-Man before, I think I read a review of an eye brightening cream of theirs or something, so to receive a gel oil was pretty exciting! It smells rosey and leafy (description skills are great I know) and I find it really good for taking off make-up.

When I got a giant parcel from Ruby Cosmetics I was SO excited – the parcel was massive and the amount I got was insane! Altogether I got an eyeshadow palette, a blush/contour palette, a lip gloss, an eyebrow cream/powder and 3 brushes. I created a mini make-up look one day using the products and my favourites were definitely the lip gloss and the blush/contour palette. I really struggle to find good blushes and the pink in the palette was so perfect for my pale skin. I also found the smokey eye-shadow palette really easy to use, it has a mini 4 step instruction system and it took me literally 2 minutes to get a cute smokey eye (forgive my poor efforts though, I kinda suck at make-up!).

It’s SO nice to try out different skincare products and these ones from Yours Truly Organics were so luxurious to use! They sent through a Face Base Balm, a Gel Cleanser, a Balancing Toner and a Fix Me repairing serum. I spent a couple of days last month just using these products to see how my face would feel and I really did love them. I had a little routine of using the cleanser, toner and creamy face base in the morning, then I’d use the repairing serum overnight. No idea if this is the order you’re meant to use them in but my skin did feel really soft after a few days!

I was sent through this teeth whitening kit from Billion Dollar Smile and I have to be honest with you all and say I don’t use products like these. I think half of me is a bit freaked by it and the other half doesn’t have the time – but I thought I’d show you the product anyway in case any of you are looking for something to whiten your teeth, I just can’t give an honest review of how it actually works! The packaging is great though and it all seems super easy to use!

I’m a sucker for a good brow and to be honest I don’t really have a holy grail eyebrow product at the moment. I was sent an eyebrow pencil and an eyebrow powder palette by Hi Brow – both of which are super easy to use. In the photo above I’m using the eyebrow pencil and it’s a little bit dark and thick for me, but I find the powder gives a much more natural finish to my brows!

These Realine Beauty patches say that they’ll help prevent and smoothen out frown lines. To me, this is SO genius because I actually really struggle with those lines across my forehead. Unfortunately, I feel like you have to use a few of these until you see any difference, and as I’ve only used 2 I can’t really say whether they fully work or not, but they’re really easy to use and if they get rid of my damn anger forehead lines then YES.

DreamWeave are a bit of a hub for a load of different beauty products, and I got sent 3 items from them so I’ll go through each individually!

Firstly there’s the Colorgenics Pink To Bronze Lip Gloss. Basically, as you can *hopefully* see in the photo, it’s got two lip gloss tubes inside it and you can mix them together to create what colour lip you want. You turn the bottom left or right and you can make your lip gloss more pink or more bronze. I absolutely love the idea of this, and the gloss sits really nicely on the lips too!

Secondly there’s a Lip Voltage Lip Plumper – to be honest again with you guys I don’t have any desire for plumper lips, but I know some people want to find ways of getting more plump lips without getting lip fillers so I thought I’d still mention it! It’s a bit like a lip gloss and you apply it everyday on your lips and on your cupids bow and over time it’s supposed to plump those bad boys!

Last up is a Lash Extension mascara. I love a good mascara but I am a little fussy with them – one thing I like about this mascara is how little it clumps (can’t stand clumpy mascara omg). I wouldn’t say this mascara hugely lengthens my lashes but it gives a really even coverage over my lashes and I really like it actually!

I was so pleased to receive some jewellery in this huge box! I love a good accessory and this chunky necklace from Miglio is so adorable. It came in such a sweet box too and I think it would make a really nice present for birthdays or Christmas. Some of their other pieces on their site are so nice too!

I’ve got two tea brands to show you and here’s the first from Pure Chimp. Once again, I have to be honest and say I’m not usually a tea drinker at all. I tried the tea but also thought I’d let my boyf have a try and give more of a review of it so you had an idea of what it was like. This tea is Vegan mint green tea and you mix about half a teaspoon with water and it’s as simple as that. I didn’t mind the tea and I think I’d drink it if I was maybe feeling a little under the weather, and Jimmy said he really liked it and that it was super refreshing!

This tea is a little different to the previous brand I just mentioned, and mainly because it’s not… real tea (well it is but it’s different). Some of you may have heard of SlenderToxTea before because it’s great for losing weight, but not gonna lie I’m not hugely bothered about losing weight. The difference with this tea is that you mix the powder with any drink and it’s supposed to boost energy and things like that. I added a teaspoon of the Raw Maca powder to a smoothie last week and I couldn’t really taste the difference (which is good btw), but I guess I didn’t exactly feel bad afterwards so that’s a bonus!

They also sent through some Slim Patches – these are little patches you put on your skin and change everyday to burn fat and promote healthy living. I haven’t tried one of these because it’s not really the sort of thing I’d do, but I’ve heard SO many good things about them!

So that’s it! So many amazing products and I feel so lucky to receive them all and show you all some other products that you may not have heard before. Some of my personal favourites were the nail wraps, the Colorgenics colour changing lip gloss, the Neek products and the Yours Truly products. I’m literally swimming in beauty products right now – heaven!

Hope you guys liked this post and let me know which products you’re loving the look of! Ask me any questions you have about any of them and I’ll get back to ya ASAP.

It’s SO gorgeous, like I love the lippy as much as some of my Mac ones! And I hadn’t either but was so great to try out some different brands instead of the same ones as always!

It’s so cool that you got to try out all these different brands! I have tried the DinkiBelle nail wraps and didn’t get on with them, they didn’t fit any of my nails which was so annoying, I had the marble print ones too which were so nice!
