Colour Trend: Dusky Pink

Story time: I bought a pale pink dress from ASOS in the summer and when it arrived I loved it. But, I put it on and basically turned invisible – my skin just blended in to the dress and I sent my dress back in anger and I didn’t look back (Oasis banter). I got in a huge grump about my pale skin and how pretty pink things didn’t suit me. This was the dress in question if you’re wondering.

After the pale pink disaster I was determined to find a way to wear pink without looking washed out, and I’ve seen so many pieces coming into the high street shops in a gorgeous dusky pink colour. It’s perfect for all skin tones but especially white lil’ bunnies like me who need all the help they can get in the tan region.

When I saw this dusky pink top on ASOS I had to have it – I thought the 3/4 length sleeves would be great for smart occasions and would also work well this Autumn (even though it’s currently nearly 30 degrees outside, eh). I treated myself to a new Topshop bag last week too which had a gorgeous dusky pink suede patch on it, gotta love matching your clothes and accessories!

The top went perfectly with my new monochrome culottes which are from Zaful – they’re the comfiest culottes I think I’ve ever owned (as well as the ones in this post) and I’m continuing my culotte love until the snow comes this Winter, I love them SO much!

Bag – Topshop

Shoes – New Look

Ring – Pandora

I never used to consider myself as a pink girl but I definitely need to take the plunge more often. I’m desperate for either a pink bomber jacket or a suede/leather jacket (or… both) and they’re definitely on my to-buy list.

Let me know what you think of dusky pink and whether you love or hate the trend!

I always struggle to wear pink for the same reasons – I can’t find a pink that works with my pale skin! Definitely going to look for a shirt in this colour, I love how it looks! 🙂 xxx

I love dusky pink and I’m so glad to see that it’s on trend right now. Hopefully I can get my hands on some pieces before the trend is over.

This outfit looks really office smart and it looks great on you. The top and the bag are my favorite parts of it and I think that they would also look great with a pencil skirt./love ida
