The Body Shop Superfood Face Masks / Review

Face masks are one of those things that every beauty and skincare lover always adores. There’s no better feeling than washing off your face mask and getting into bed all clean and cosy, is there? The Body Shop have released a new range of amazing face masks to liven up our skincare routine, but with a unique twist.

The twist is that you can buy different face masks for the purpose of what you want to achieve. Each face mask has the power to do something specific to your skin so you can buy whichever one you think would be best for you. All of the new masks are made of natural ingredients and I think some are even Vegan!

(I’m fully aware they look like condiments at a breakfast bar).

I’m going to go through each mask telling you what’s in it and what it can do to make your skin BEAUTIFUL.

This one is my favourite so I thought I’d begin with it. This mask is for waking up and energising your skin and fights any signs of fatigue. It would be the mask you’d use first thing in the morning to wake up those tired eyes, and the smell alone will wake you up in seconds. It’s filled with Acai berries, guarana and babassu oil (I don’t know what they are but I love the sound of them) and it’s an amazing little jam-like mask.

Side note: don’t eat this mask, no matter how much you like jam.

ETHIOPIAN HONEY DEEP NOURISHING MASK (the yellow one… looks like honey)

This mask is my least favourite, not because it’s bad or anything, but I’m just not a huge honey fan. This one has a gel texture with no bits in, which is perfect if you’re looking for a smooth and gentle nourishing to your skin. It contains honey (of course), marula oil and olive oil which is so indulgent to use.

It also smells really similar to the Body Shop argan oil range if you’ve ever tried that!

I think this mask might be joint top of my favourites because it’s such a lovely mask. It’s a bright white cream that makes me look a little ghostly in the mirror – lol – but it smells amazing and I find it really exfoliates my skin to brighten it up. Ginseng, rice extract and sesame seed oil are some of the ingredients in this mask and if you’re looking for something to even out your skin then this is your guy.

BRITISH ROSE FRESH PLUMPING MASK (the light pink one with rose petals in)

This is the ultimate British mask infused with all the rose goodness you could ever need. It has a soft and smooth texture like the honey mask, but with a gorgeous scent of rose running through it. This mask offers smoothing and hydration to your skin if you’re struggling with dryness.

And yes, it looks kinda invisible!

Last but not least is this thick and powerful charcoal mask. Made from bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves and tea tree oil (aka the best ingredient for face masks ever), this mud mask brings out all of the dirt and impurities to leave super soft skin. I scrubbed this on my nose to try and get out some dirt and blackheads and my skin felt so amazing afterwards!

And that’s the lot! Each little tub retails at £15 but I really found the product went a lot further than other products I’d used before. You can buy them at The Body Shop and I’d totally recommend trying them if you want to give your skin some love!

I’ve had my eye on the charcoal one, but after reading this post, I kind of want to try them all now! Great post!

The charcoal one seems to be the most popular and I can definitely see why, but I think they’re all amazing! I particularly recommend the white one, it feels similar to the charcoal one but it’s different to most masks!

Thanks Lauren! They’re so great and I love finding new masks too, it’s so nice that these tubs are relatively small so you can change up your options every now and again!

I’m using a combination of charcoal and British rose ones which works really well for my dry skin and blackhead clogged T zone. TBS is always so amazing with these skincare products

Ah that sounds like a perfect combo! I’ve not mixed many of them except the charcoal and honey one, but mixing them works so well!
