The £25 Pair Of Jeans You NEED

Often on my blog I’ll share with you my favourite new high street items, along with a load of top picks for you to choose from – that’s what I’m here for, right? I suppose I like to call myself a professional high street bargain hunter. Anyway, this post is no exception, and I’m going to tell you allll about my fave pair of jeans that I’ve been investing in for the past 2 years.

Just how much do I love these jeans? Well, I’ve written nearly 400 blog posts and they’ve been featured in 29 of my outfit posts (in various colours and with different levels of ripped-knee-age). I’ve owned 7 pairs over the years… so I think it’s safe to say I’ve found my perfect pair.

SO WHERE ARE THEY FROM, I hear you cry. Well my loves, they’re obviously classic ASOS. The ‘type’ is the Ridley jean, and even though you’ve probably heard me mention/rave about them before, I really need to dedicate a post to them and tell you why they’ll always be my denim saviour.

For years I bought different pairs of skinny jeans from all of your general high street shops, and usually I’d find some kinda fault with them. I like my skinny jeans to be skinny (obvz), but not so tight at the waist that I can’t breathe, and also not to fade or sag anywhere over time. I also don’t particularly want to spend loads on them – I’m not made of money (considering I have to keep buying new jeans to cater for my fluctuating stomach size, thank u pizza).

Let me do some comparing for you. I’d say these jeans are very similar to the Topshop Leigh jeans (or somewhere inbetween a Joni/Jamie/Leigh to be honest), but with Topshop jeans you have to A) pay a bit of a hefty price tag, and B) I always find the Leigh jeans sag at the knees when I wear them for too long. I also find Topshop jeans fade quite quickly, which wouldn’t be a massive issue, but the price then makes it totally not worth it.

These ASOS jeans are also similar to River Island Amelie jeans (also a hefty price tag compared) and Miss Selfridge Lizzie jeans (which I find never quite fit in the right places).

As you can tell by the title of this post, these jeans come in at £25, but if you want some fancy ones (maybe with a few rips or embroidery) then they may go up to £30. In general though, they’re the cheapest good-quality jeans that you can buy (in my opinion, of course!). I never hesitate going back to ASOS for a new pair of skinny jeans when I need them, and even when I buy the odd Topshop pair in the sale, they never have the same lasting power or fit.

One thing I will mention about the ASOS Ridley’s is to size up if you’re a little bit unsure. I’m a 27 inch waist usually but occasionally go for a 28 so that I’m uber comfy, and I buy these in a 28″. It’s not a big issue and I usually do the same with all jeans I buy, but thought I’d give you all that little note!

Black denim obsessing aside, I thought I’d style these babies up for a classic casj outfit with my new Topshop tee (which is selling out everywhere, so I’ll try and find some links below!). I also showed you a sneak peak of my new shoes from New Look on my Insta Story last week (follow me on the ‘gram here!) and I’ve been wearing them non-stop ever since. Isn’t the embroidery GORGEOUS? You won’t believe the price either, but I’m a lucky sod and nabbed ’em in the sale!

A final thing to mention is my gradual tan which is coming along nicely – I use the NKD SKN pre-shower tan twice a week now and after the first use I noticed a massive difference. I swore by it last summer so if you need a tan top up then I deffo recommend!

Tee – Topshop (normal, petite, tall)

ASOS yet again exceeding our expectations! These jeans are perfect! I’m a big fan of the TopShop Leigh jeans so I’m so happy you’ve found a cheaper yet just as good alternative! Also crushing entirely on you’re whole outfit, those shoes are lush and that top goes perfectly! Looking fab Robyn!

I’m the same, I always buy jeans that are a bit funky/embroidered/ripped and sometimes you just need a plain pair haha!

I recently bought a denim skirt from ASOS and it fits perfectly, I normally struggle finding denim to fit so well so it’s always worth checking ASOS out!
