Summer Date Night Outfit

Summer is just so much better than Winter?????? I’m feeling SO fab at the mo – I’m tanned (fake obvs lol), I’m getting less spots and I’m feeling more awake and alive. AMEN TO SUMMER. Maybe it’s all psychological but anyhoo, I’m luvvin’ June already.

With summer and happiness and all that, I thought I’d treat you to a summer date night outfit which offers comfort for all the cocktails (or mocktails) you consume, and an outfit that’ll make the other half go WOWWWW GIRLLLL LET ME PAY FOR DINNER. After all, I spent my entire weeks pay on this outfit, so…

*I promise I’m not a gold digger huns*

I literally LOVE having a date night (or date lunch) every now and again. I’m a sucker for an afternoon in front of the tv with a bowl of nachos and some vimto, but it’s nice to actually make an effort and put some nice clothes on for a change. I sometimes feel like all I wear are pyjamas and work clothes, and sometimes I want to wear something maybe a little more revealing or just a bit more feminine.

It’s always nice having that one-on-one time with your other half too, away from other people and away from work. We always have a rule that we don’t talk about stressful things like the house move or work or money, and we just chat about crap (and usually end up talking about stupid stuff my cats have done in the previous week, but that’s just us).

As soon as I saw this BEAUT skirt in Topshop I had to buy it. I know I say that about everything and you probably all think I have a clothes obsession (which I do), but I just get such a kick out of seeing gorgeous designs, cuts and patterns. This skirt is just the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen and it makes the perf date night skirt, which can easily be paired with a simple black cami.

P.s. I very rarely show my shoulders at work and it’s so nice to finally get ’em out – a classic cami is a gals best friend, am I right?!

My shoes and bag are both from Just Fab and I know you’re all going to fall in love with both. Since the bag came my mum has had her eye on it but I had to put my foot down and say MUM, WAIT FOR ME TO PHOTO IT OK?! After shooting this look I popped it on her bed ready for her to see it when she got home, aren’t I a great daughter…? Anyway, I love the tan/brown and pink combination and it’s one I’ve never really matched before, but I deffo think it works with the black and white!

Finally, date night is the only real occasion I get to glam up a little and find some nice jewellery to wear. My earrings in this outfit are from Adore and the necklace is Topshop. The rose gold is so perf for the pink/tan combo, and the whole ear jacket trend is LUSH right?!

What do we make of the skirt? I’m so glad it’s now mine, especially as my favourite Topshop midi skirt from last summer barely fits around my arse anymore! Do let me know what you think of the outfit in the comments as always, and make sure you’re following me on Bloglovin’ so you catch all of my new posts!
