Pink and red anyone?! It’s one of those supposedly awful colour combinations but as we all know I don’t tend to follow those rules, and at the mo I deffo need a bit of colour oomph to get me through these DAMN GREY DAYS. My life is meant to be full of sun and rainbows with the house move next week, but all I’m getting is rain, headaches and period pain. But I did buy a job lot of homeware from ASDA at the weekend and I am ITCHING to do some interior posts on here!
So anyway, I’m going back to the norm with a classic jeans/tee outfit featuring the mismatching pink and red that you all love to hate (that I’m going to convince you to love to love). And as the title suggests, there isn’t a single bit of black – who am I?!
Anybody else look at this tee and think of Will Smith? Or that annoying song in the charts that features “welcome to Miami” somewhere in it… Even though I can’t for the life of me find the bloody song?
Probably. But anyway, I nabbed this pink bargain on Missguided over the weekend with next day delivery, because nobody can really have enough pink t-shirts, can they? This kinda item will never go out of style, and I always like them as under-shirts with strappy dresses and tights when it’s a bit cooler (aka NOW).
And as much as I love Will Smith and Miami beaches, I also love the pink and red contrast print on the tee. Whoever decided that red and pink don’t go together can GO AWAY because I absolutely love it, and pairing this pink tee with pink shoes and a red bag is my idea of a fab clash! If you’re not sure how to wear pink and red together, try a pale pink with a dark red first because it’s a lot easier than a fuchsia/magenta pink with a red!
The pink tee is only a tenner, and my favourite pair of jeans from this summer are now reduced to £14! I’ve worn these a couple of times on my blog but I put them away for a month or two during that heatwave – I’ve got them out again recently and fallen back in love with the shape and fit of them, and to be honest they were definitely worth full price anyway. £14 though?! Grab ’em while they’re hot!
You’ll also spot my favourite bag from Next which was featured at the beginning of this month on my blog, and it’s just big and amazing and pretty and summery and FAB. Not to mention the most super lovely material!
Let’s also pay attention to the fact I’m not wearing a single item of black! Apart from my watch strap… I AM A NEW WOMAN.

What are your thoughts on pink and red? Can they go together, or is it a big no? Let me know in the comments as always!
