OH WHAT?
Yep, that’s what eh quoi means. I had no idea until I just google translated it but I didn’t think it was anything too rude or offensive to those French neighbours we have. This little outfit comes from a mix of Joy clothing and some shoes from Ego, and together create a monochrome look with a splash of yellow accessories.
Who’d have ever thought I’d get yellow shoes and a yellow bag? 2015 year old me would be quivering in her very simple black ankle boots, but these shoes are the DREAM, and the yellow bag is the perfect little match – almost like I’d planned it ;).
Trend wise I think I’m hitting them all for 2017 (although I’m forever going on about breaking the rulebook). I’m still loving gingham and I adore the bolder pattern on this skirt for summer, and instead of going ‘worky’ with it I’ve kept it casj with a simple grey tee. This is my kinda idea of switching up a jeans/tee look!
The tee and skirt are both from Joy (and are BOTH in the sale!) – and as much as I wanted this banana tee, I think it would be far too much of a yellow overload. I might have to order it though!
Other trends I’ve got going on in this look are the frills in the skirt and the shoes. LOOK AT THE SHOES. While shooting this look I was in a retail park and about 4 different girls walked passed saying to their mates ‘oooohhh I love those shoes’ (not sure how I did it to be honest but I kinda hid behind the sunnies). BUT GIRLLLLSSS ONLY £29.99 AND 20% OFF WITH CODE PHASESOFROBYN20 xoxo.
The bag, also from Joy, actually has a chain which you can attach to the bag if you fancy an over-the-shoulder style, but I felt comfy holding it as a clutch with my keys, phone and purse in. It’s not too big but not too small either (and held the sunnies in afterwards too, because lets face it… it wasn’t actually sunny #fashun).
Luckily with a black, white and yellow outfit (and yellow-but-kinda-ginger-hair) I completed the outfit with gold accessories with my favourite Topshop necklace and Daniel Wellington watch. It kinda warmed the outfit up a little, as did my fake tan that I’d not been using for two whole weeks. Srsly, moving house is stressful and I got seriously pale!

I love the statement yellow in this outfit, I was looking for a red bag but I think you may have converted me to the yellow side.

Ohhh my god YES. I’ve seen a lot of gingham skirts but they’ve all been tiny ones that barely cover your bum, was desperate for a midi length one! So glad you like it!
