Spring Style: Items To Buy Into Early

Hey Spring, where you at?

I’m such an I-can’t-get-up-in-the-morning-for-work-unless-it’s-daylight kinda girl, and to be honest I don’t think it’ll be long til’ the sunlight will be coming through my window at 6am, but PLEEEEASE… JUST NO MORE SNOW. I hate cold, I hate being cold, I hate walking in the cold wind, I hate standing in the cold, I just want it to END. (wow I feel better now)

Whether or not it’s going to snow over the Easter weekend next week or not, I’m still getting ready for Spring and I’m excited that it’s not long until bare leg season and not-needing-to-wear-8-layers-a-day season. I’ve started investing early into key Spring pieces for my wardrobe and I think a lot of retailers know that we’re buzzing for the summer so they have a lot of deals on for dresses, skirts, accessories and footwear. I thought I’d talk you through a few items you should be buying into early and where to get the good bargains from before the Spring air and warmth¬†finally gets to us.

SPRING DRESSES

Florals, stripes, spots and bright colours – we all love a floaty new dress for the S/S and this year I’ve seen SO many on the high street, and actually a lot of brands have stepped up their colour game this year! In this outfit I’m wearing a gorge red wrap dress from Boohoo, and it’s one of those dresses I don’t mind layering up now, but can’t wait to wear on it’s own in a few months time on the beach with a cocktail.

Shop some similar alternatives below, I’m obsessssed with the bright red New Look dress!

COVER UPS

England is never “warm warm”, is it? We always need a jacket or shawl of some sort to hand just in case the sun goes down and we start freezing to death. I love a leather jacket (as you’ve probably seen the one I’m wearing here in about 20 outfit posts, I’ve had it about 6 years), but suede jackets, cardigans and blazers all look lush with a Spring/Summer dress!

Here are some of my high street picks!

ACCESSORIES/SHOES

I feel like during the Winter I never wear any jewellery, but as soon as the warmer months roll around I’m all about necklaces, earrings, colourful bags, fun purses and new shoes. I’m still loving this little Stradivarius bag that I wore in a previous outfit post, and it looks lush with the red dress!

ASOS are the hub of bargain accessories for me, and they’ve got a ton of them ready for Spring. Here are some of my faves along with a few others I’ve found!

Dress – c/o Boohoo

Leather Jacket – H&M (old, similar here)

Bag – Stradivarius

Ankle Boots – c/o Debenhams

What do we think of the look? I’ll always be a fan of red and black, but I can’t wait to ditch the tights & leather jacket and pair the dress with some white sandals and a beach bag… Bring on some sun!

Let me know in the comments your thoughts on the post as always!
