The amount of different ‘types’ of dresses are what really strains my bank account. How is there so many?! My favourite phrase at the moment seems to be ‘I don’t own one like that’ – it’s lethal. One style of dress which is a particular favourite is the wrap dress, and I know that many people love them for the way they shape your body and cinch in at the waist (and tuck away the boobs…).
Wrap dresses are obviously ideal for summer, no matter what length, but they can be styled all throughout the year and for different occasions with the right tips. I thought I’d share a summery outfit in a new wrap dress from Brand Attic, along with how to style it for the rest of the year.
The season of sun, and the time to wear your dress on it’s own and let it do all the talking. In this outfit I’ve gone for smart casual (you know, that kinda outfit we never know how to define) but you could take the outfit to a more dressy occasion, like a wedding, with some nude heels and a silvery bag. For seriously casual vibes then flat sandals and a backpack would be ideal, especially for a festival!
Who says a dress can’t go through to Autumn? This blue dress would look so nice with a lightweight trench coat over the top, a pair of mary-janes and a satchel – workwear goals! For Autumn events and occasions pop a blazer over the top of your dress with some heels and you’re good to go.
Anyone else *kinda* missing coat and scarf weather? As much as I love wearing dresses on their own, you can’t beat layering! I’d wear this dress with a big woolly coat over the top, a white scarf/gloves and some ankle boots.
Instead of digging out your dresses after putting them away for the cold weather, they’ll still be in your wardrobe ready to go for spring. Spring is the time for getting the toes out again so some open toe shoes/boots would make an ideal outfit, and if you’re looking for a casual look then a cardigan over the top will finish your look. Anyone else a HUGE cardigan fan?!

What do we think of the dress?! Would you wear it all year round, or keep it as a summer special? Let me know in the comments!
