Move Over Leopard Print… It’s All About ZEBRA!

I think we all knew that animal print was going to be huge this year, and the monochrome lover inside me is obsessed with the new zebra print trend sweeping across the high street.

The bold prints from the last few seasons have actually made me feel a lot more confident when it comes to clothes shopping – has anyone else become a little more adventurous in their outfits? A few years ago you wouldn’t have seen me in anything else other than plain jeans and a plain white tee, but I’m all for a bold colour and a bold print these days. I’ve mentioned a few times that I’ve ventured into more skirts and dresses over the last year or two, and these animal print vibes being mostly on midi skirts and dresses have definitely got me hooked towards the more ‘girly’ outfits. Who knew!

As soon as I saw this zebra print button-up midi dress it ticked all the boxes for me, so here’s how I’m styling it for Spring…

The dress itself, as a lot of New Look dresses do, ticks all the trend boxes you can think of. I’m loving the button-up style and the cinch at the waist with the tie. For me, the midi length is ideal because it’s wearable for work and can be kept casual too. Can you imagine trying to pull this kinda dress off when you were 18? I would’ve genuinely cut it and re-sewed it so it just about covered my arse.

If you know me at all you’ll know I love a black and white vibe, so like I said earlier a monochrome zebra print is just everything I want in a dress. I’ve spotted lots of similar tops, skirts and dresses on the high street and can’t wait to share some of my favourites with you, but this dress (a bargain under £30 at New Look) seemed to be a perfect all-rounder.

Perfect for all weathers? Uh-huh. On a cool work day I’ve worn this with tights, boots and a black blazer, but can you imagine wearing just this on a beach with flip flops and a beach bag? Only 4 months to go till Croatia…

When it comes to styling for this look I’ve kept to a Spring workwear look with some sassy new kitten heels from Next. You will have seen me debut these on my Instagram if you follow me, and I love the strap and button detailing and they’re uber comfy for the office!

Keeping to the monochrome theme I’m wearing A GUCCI BAG. Ok. It’s not my Gucci bag. But one can pretend. I borrowed this from my friend Hayley for the shoot (nope, not for any longer) and it’s honestly so beautiful. I always say that if I won money on The Chase or the lottery then the first thing I’d do is buy a Gucci or a Chloe bag… but maybe I just need to get one. Which designer bags do you like?

I LOVE this! I’m always looking for pieces that are suitable for in and out of work and this does just that – I’d love to style it down with some converse!

I love this dress. Maybe it’s because they are more in fashion or maybe it’s an age thing but I’m loving this style too <3
