The Best Of White Clothing

Anyone normally wouldn’t touch white clothing with a barge pole????

For some reason it’s ALL I’m buying at the moment. I love all white outfits, white tops, white dresses, shoes, accessories, THE LOT. I guess it’s all part of my transition away from wearing black, and of course it comes with it’s spilling-my-entire-pot-noodle-down-me risk, but I just feel so lush in white during summer!

This time last year I was anti-white because I spent my entire summer fake tanning and would then avoid white because I’d stain all my clothing. For some reason this year (probably due to the fact I’m now working full time and can’t be arsed to waste my evenings fake tanning) I’m going full on pale-girl. In comes all white clothing without a care in the world!

Today I’m giving you a brand new summery outfit with a gorge white skirt of mine, along with some white top picks from the high street.

I was generally on the lookout for a normal white midi skirt to wear with coloured tops and found this cutie in New Look. It’s work appropriate (just about, if I don’t pop outside and get a huge gust of wind up there) and it looks fab with a wrap top or something tucked in. Of course it’s got the button-up vibe that we’re still loving this year, and the linen feel makes it super lightweight. I’m obsessed! And it also comes in loads of other colours. I think it’s sold out now, but when I bought it it was a bargain sale piece!

New Look is pretty much the hub of all midi skirts this summer so if you’re in need of one then it’s the place to go!

Another reason I wanted a simple midi skirt was to go with this LUSH & Other Stories shell top. I loved the navy knitted vibe and the shell buttons are tooooo cute. Tbh I just had nothing to wear it with so bought something, anyone else guilty of that????

The fit is so fab and I can see me wearing this for years to come. Plus it’s great to wear navy instead of black all the time!

To go with the top I matched my new M&S bag with the outfit – it’s ideal for work but also works for the weekend, and tbh I feel like white and navy is my fave new colour combo!

Finally let me draw you to the shoes! I fell in love with these Head Over Heels beauts in Debenhams when I was looking for a comfortable pair of everyday sandals. I always struggle with comfort and because I have wide feet I often find shoes never fit me right.

These shoes were a little pricey at £48 but I see them lasting me AGES. Sometimes I think paying for quality has it’s benefits especially for those with awkward feet like myself. I love the heel height and the wooden vibe makes them perfect for summer! What do you think?!
