Satin Shirts & Cosy Cardigans

HELLO AGAIN! I’ve missed you!

I’ve had a little blog break, and if you follow me on Instagram you’ll know it’s because I had a lovely holiday to Croatia! I decided to have a social media break for a week and since I came home I thought I’d slowly get back into my blog/social routine. I had a lot of holiday photos to share and with relatively terrible weather here in the UK I didn’t have much of an opportunity to shoot anything new, so here we are a month later pretty much!

But anyway, I’m back with my first semi-Autumn look for 2019 which was actually shot before I went away. I have some cosy knitwear along with black denim and a new satin shirt all pulled together to make a casual outfit. I hope you like it!

The main starting point of this look is this gorge Nasty Gal spotted satin shirt. Before my holiday I bought a few bargain summer staples and saw this shirt, thinking it would be ideal tucked into jeans and black trousers for work. I also always opt for the half tuck-in for that ‘stylish but looks like I didn’t get dressed properly’ vibe.

During the spring/summer we had the rise of the satin skirt so why not keep to the trend and add some satin shirts or blouses to our wardrobe? They feel so classy!

The next thing to highlight is this absolute SNUG of a cardigan. I think I shared a selfie on my Instagram when I bought it but now it’s chilling down I needed something extra warm. It also can get super cold in my office so a thick layer is needed! This longline and slightly oversized beauty goes with pretty much everything in my wardrobe and tbh I feel like I need to buy more cardigans so I actually wear something else…

I think this cardi is sold out now but I found this one which is super duper similar.

Finally it’s accessories time! This bag goes so well with the outfit and it was a sale find in Dorothy Perkins, a place I wouldn’t necessarily think to go to for bags. The snake print detail goes with the croc print in my sandals from New Look – and I do think animal print is going to continue to be huge this Autumn!

My earrings are mini hoops from Topshop and are my fave earrings of the year so far. They’re from a 3-pack that I picked up in the summer and are so delicate for everyday wear.

What do we think of the outfit? I think this time of year is my favourite for styling – I’ve just started getting my tights and ankle boots back out and loving it!

Are you an Autumn lover? Let me know your thoughts as always!
